How to reach Tartu

There are two main ways to reach Tartu: via Tallinn or via Riga.

To Tallinn by plane
To Tallinn by the regular passenger ship routes Tallinn-Helsinki-Tallinn or Tallinn-Stockholm-Tallinn
From Tallinn to Tartu by bus. Coaches on the line Tallinn-Tartu and Tartu-Tallinn departure nearly every half of an hour every weekday from 5.00AM to 11.00PM. On the line Tartu-Tallinn a stop at the Tallinn Airport is possible (please ask it from a coach driver or a conductor). Time of passage is about 2.5 hours, one-way price approximately 100 EEK (~7 EUR) and cash is needed.
From Tallinn by train to Tartu. The one-way price is max 125 EEK (~8 EUR) and cash is needed.

From Riga to Tartu by bus. The time tables and prices: Euroline and Ecolines. Time of passage is about 3 hours.
